Car spotting in London! The hunt for Supercars.
Car spotting in London is possibly one of the best places in the world to do so. London is a playground for the rich and famous and is possibly one of the greatest cities in the world with a very high percentage of high net worth individuals living there, that just love to show off their wealth by way of driving supercars daily (you won’t see this very often in Dublin..haha)
We came over to see the start line of the Modball rally for the weekend and decided to see what the general car-spotting scene was like. I have been to London a few times, so I knew some of the hotspots, with the Dorchester been one of my first stops.
One of the very first spots on our Saturday night arrival into London was a Ferrari Enzo on the street. We were lucky enough to have just spotted it before it disappeared into Mayfair “we lost it”. Some more spots of that evening included “SupercarsofLondon” in his C63 AMG, a Hurcacan Avio, numerous Ferrari 488’s, Lamborghini Huracans and a Lamborghini Aventador S Roadster! (this was just the first evening)
Sloane Street Cruz
The morning after Modball had left the O2, we heard that Afzal Khan (Chelea truck company & Kahn Design) was holding a meet on Sloane street. So we done what anybody would have done… We headed straight down there…
when we arrived there was an AMG GTR and a Ferrari 488 GTB, before long they were accompanied by a Porsche GT3, two Ferrari F12’s and an Aventador SV Roadster. What an awesome line up of cars and people, we was made to feelm very welcome and like we was actually part of what was going on. I think secretly they fell in love with the Biposto..haha
We attempted to follow them on their escaped through London, but before long, a set of traffic lights decided to put a large gap between us… it had nothing to do with them been in Lamborghinis and Ferraris… haha
Joe Macari –
Supercar, hypercar and Exotic Dealership
With this, we decided to pop in to Joe Macari, we were made to feel very welcome. after all of this it was around mid afternoon and the heat was really getting to us, after all we was in the Biposto with no A/C.. So we headed back to the hotel only to be pleasantly surprised by the fact that the outdoor bar faced onto Brompton road.
Over the next few hours, reams of supercars drove by including Lamborghini Aventadors, Ferrari F12’s, a 360 Challenge Stradale, a DB6 Aston Martin and even a Bugatti Chiron. I also cought sight of an Aston Martin DB4 Zagato, one of 19 in the world and valued at over £9M!
Car spotting in London was quite a success for us and for anyone doing it who hasn’t,
your best bet is to stick around Knightsbridge & Mayfair areas and to check places like Harrods, Sloane street and the Dorchester Hotel!
